WhatsApp for iPad set to become a reality soon
WhatsApp information tracker, WABetaInfo has revealed that the popular messaging platform is planning on introducing Multi-Device 2.0 support. This will allow the users to link a secondary smartphone or tablet (Android/iPad) to one WhatsApp account. The tweets and screenshots also hint at a minimal UI design. As of now, WhatsApp’s multi-device feature will support linking of up to four devices but this is only restricted to its web version. This will give an inkling that a WhatsApp app for iPad is right around the corner. To recall, the expansion of the Multi-Device feature’s capabilities was rumored in the past. A companion mode is expected to be launched as well and it’ll enable the linking of two devices to one WhatsApp number.
Instagram app for iPad a possibility too?
Talking about the availability of the WhatsApp app on iPad, the platform’s head Will Cathcart revealed that he’d love the idea of launching it and is aware of people’s demand for an iPad app. Given that the extended capability of multi-device support is rumored, you can expect its introduction soon. This also raises the possibility of an Instagram app for iPad, which has been rumored many times and is also a widely-awaited arrival. It remains to be seen when it’ll become a reality. Meanwhile, WhatsApp has also been planning on updating its recently introduced message reaction feature. The upgrade will see detailed reaction info once an automated image is shared. This feature is still under development and has entered the beta stage. Via
